As the pastor of Thousand Hills and a lead team member of Europe Advance there are several projects that I am involved in and that I am raising funds for. These are the current projects you can get involved in through prayer, giving and practical involvement:
- Building project for Thousand Hills International Church. We are using a traditional church building from 1922 that we are in the process of buying and then renovating. We need around 1 million USD to make this happen. The building will not only be used for church on Sunday, but also for a school of ministry, outreach to the community around the church and various weekday activities.
- A church plant in Portadown, Northern Ireland. On a plane from Atlanta to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, I met “Big” John Scott for the first time. He told me he was planting a new campus of Celebration Church (Jacksonville, Florida; pastor: Stovall Weems) in Portadown, Northern Ireland. This initial contact turned into a friendship and since I have a big heart for Ireland I want to do everything I can to help them succeed. They haven’t launched officially, but they already have a great group of young adults that are part of the launch team. They’re lined up for success! Check out their website: celebrationchurch.eu.
- A church plant in Gothenburg, Sweden. My friend pastor Thomas Jonsson is planting a church in that city and will need about 120,000 USD for the start. Pastor Matt Fry of C3 Church in North Carolina will be heavily involved in the process. That’s a cool thing to see because that is exactly our vision, that churches from outside Europe help new churches get started in Europe.
- A church plant in Düsseldorf, Germany. More info to follow!
- A school of ministry in Hilversum, the Netherlands. If we are to advance the cause of Christ in Europe, we need more life-giving churches that will truly impact their communities. And for those churches we need great leaders. The plan is that this school of ministry will help raise up those leaders. They will be the pastors, church planters, volunteer leaders and staff of the church in Europe of tomorrow!
If you are interested in partnering with any of those projects, just drop me a note at info[at]pastorsebastiaan.com. Your prayers, practical involvement and financial support will be greatly appreciated!
